Neurotechnologies for improving intuitive and efficient human–machine interaction

Neuroscientific results can be exploited for developing robust real-world applications with major potential for industry. The Bernstein Focus: Neurotechnology Berlin (BFNT-B) brings together a multidisciplinary faculty with the aim of directly applying insights from basic neuroscience to relevant applications. The main objective of BFNT-B is to foster novel noninvasive ‘brain reading’ techniques to enhance human-machine interaction. Project A3: “Neuro-Usability”: Neurotechnologies for Human-Machine Interaction is one of the BFNT-B projects and uses biosignal sensors to measure and model aspects of usability (e.g., efficiency, satisfaction, and joy of use).
