Summary
This paper investigates the integration of speech-based virtual assistants within mixed reality applications for people with cognitive disabilities. The authors describe a prototype system that enables hands-free interaction and task support through conversational interfaces. A user study with participants shows that speech interaction can reduce cognitive load, increase accessibility, and enhance the perceived usability of MR applications.
