Summary
We examine how a virtual helper’s external features—face realism, attire, and age cues—affect user trust, compliance, and perceived empathy in a therapy-support tool. In controlled tasks, participants interact with varied agent appearances while we capture subjective and behavioral outcomes. Results inform appearance choices that respect clinical expectations without undermining accessibility or comfort.
